Andy Kay on the prowl

Albert interviews Boy Crush/Helix Studios model Andy Kay today. Albert has a way of getting in depth with the guys and he makes this fun to read for fans and porn insiders. Andy Kay caught both of our attentions just recently he is very new to gay porn, indeed the whole gaylife after growing up in a strict religious environment. He is smart, focused, talented and yeah he knows what he wants out of his foray into porn! Albert says this was a fun interview and Andy has a lot to say here Politics,Religion, porn, sex, boys & girls! Whew! You will see in the photo gallery at bottom Andy is somewhat the chameleon with many a different look on display. DeWayne

Andy Kay was born in Utah, grew up in Indiana and now lives in Arizona. He was fascinated by the Cobra Video drama and individuals in the porn industry. He has wanted to do porn since he knew he was gay.

Andy just turned 19 a few months ago and did his first adult shoot in December 2007. Just six months ago. That shoot resulted in a few scenes Andy is not happy with. The director was one of those guys that likes to make cheesy dialogue during recording. He did, however, provide Andy with the know how and experience to continue in the industry. Since those shoots, Andy has become a regular BoyCrush model and has done a couple of scenes for Helix studios.

Andy is a versatile bottom who likes handcuffs, dildos and a bit of ‘slam you against the wall’ rough sex.Shocked 7 His hottest sexual experience was recorded. It was an Andy sandwich with two guys.

Andy would like to work with Tommy Anders and Tyler Kayden as well as his favorite, Jesse Santana. Andy is well aware that twink performers can be difficult to work with. For that reason, he goes to a great deal of effort to be easy to work with. Andy admits that he rarely has sex off camera, although he thinks maybe his exposure to other porn actors has raised his standards.

Andy is trying to write for both porn and his own music career. He plays half a dozen musical instruments, sings, works out every day and tries to eat right.

Sadly, his parents are struggling with his homosexuality.

I found Andy a total joy to work with. He got my attention by connecting with me through MySpace and then posting a couple of solo scenes and picture sets in X-Tube. I had just finished the Frank interview so I was at liberty. I contacted Andy and he agreed to do this. Some people got wind of this project and before I even wrote the questions for the interview, another porn studio asked me for his contact information. With his permission I passed that on. I was also contacted by an individual who would like to do a live interview with him. I gave them each others E-Mail address. As I am doing my final edit on this interview, DeWayne tells me that yet another producer was provided information on Andy

Andy has goals and talent beyond porn but he seems on a fast track for now. I am very happy to follow up on the excellent interview Marc did at Chronicles of Pornia.
INSERT Andy completed an interview for the Hot Foot last friday! Just had to get that footie plug in!

Please meet, Andy Kay.

Albert, “Andy, it is a real honor to get to talk to you. Thanks for agreeing to this. Please tell us about your early years.”

Andy, “I was raised in an extremely religious household in the Midwest with three younger brothers. We were a pretty tight knit group most of the time. My mom made the rules, my father made the money, and as long as we boys followed those rules and went to church, everything was fine. Mine is a pretty normal story for gay boys where I grew up. I was closeted till college and spent most of my time working in the arts; film, drama, music and (I use this term lightly) sports. I came out during my first semester of college and I hate to say it but my parents still think that I moved out here to change. I did, but just not in that aspect.”

Albert, “In your photo’s, I have seen drumsticks, a keyboard and a guitar. What instruments do you play? How and when did you learn to play them?”

Andy, “I play the guitar, piano, drums, bass, and some trumpet. Most of it is self taught, namely the guitar and drums. I took piano lessons as a kid and then took a class in college. My most important instrument is my voice, and I work to improve that more than anything else.”

Albert, “What type of music do you listen to and what type do you like to play?”

Andy, “I listen to just about everything. Screamo turns me off and Country just brings up bad memories, but everything else is okay. The music I write is mostly in the Folk/Indie genre, although I really just write what comes to me. I’d never make it as a professional composer, its not a talent I can control. I’ll just get random inspiration at random times and have to stop whatever I’m doing and write it down before I forget.”

Albert, “Who is your favorite modern musician?”

Andy, “My favorite modern musician is Mika. Most musicians have to wait till they’re famous before they get to perform the music they actually like and not just cheesy stuff that high school kids can relate to. Mika proved that if your good enough, you don’t need to wait. Otherwise, I grew up listening to Frank Sinatra and Broadway Musicals with my mom and the B52s and Journey with my father. I still love them.”

Albert, “Where did you develop your singing voice?”

Andy, “It’s something I’ve always had. I sang in our church’s choir as a kid and then took lessons in High School and still do. I was part of every choir and show choir in high school and in one in my first semester of college. It’s always something I work to improve.

(Note from Albert; Andy’s speaking voice reflects his voice training. He is VERY pleasant to listen to.)

Albert, “Do you believe your family religion has anything to do with your parents difficulties with your sexuality?”

Andy, “It’s the only reason. My parents don’t make a decision without consulting God first. Its kind of interesting because our religion doesn’t really have any solid doctrine on homosexuality but I’m expected to change and marry a nice Christian girl. Its something we’ll have to come to terms with eventually, but since I live seven States away, I can put it out of my mind for now.”

Albert, “I hope that works out. How has your up-bringing affected your politics? Are you liberal, Conservative, disintere
sted or what?”

Andy, “I’ve always been very liberal and I started arguing with the Conservative way of thinking most of my family had, pretty early on. I’m very into politics.

I took a class which taught us about the different styles of government and after I learned about the libertarian party, not much else has made much sense. The idea that a person can do anything just as long as it doesn’t effect another persons ability to do the same is really what I think this country should be about. Most conservatives see it as a step into moral deprivation since it would result in the legalization of prostitution, drugs, stem cell research, and gay rights. I see more jobs, uncrowded prisons, and a happier populace.”

Albert, “What is the one key political principle you feel is most important; individual liberty, communal responsibility to the disadvantaged, mutual protection, or from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs?”

Andy, “I would have to pick individual liberty because its what our country was built upon and its something we don’t fully have now.

In general, I think people are basically good, but something about how our country is being run now just brings out the worst in people. Its hard to think about more than just yourself , for example, ‘the disadvantaged,’ when our government uses fear to control its people.”

Albert, “What would be the top three things you would like the United States as a country to do in the next 20 years?”

Andy, “First, get out of the middle east and patch up relationships with countries that we pissed off by going in there in the first place. Second, work on solutions pertaining to unemployment. Money makes the world go round and a lot of problems would be solved if everyone had a chance to earn it. Finally, do an overhaul on some of our laws. Really draw the line between church and state and make sure laws aren’t being made along religious guidelines.”

Albert, “Do you think gay marriage will become law, be totally banned or the debate will continue for 20 years?”

Andy, “I think its insanely wrong to ban something like that in the first place, however, I think it will become legal eventually. I think people will finally realize that its not that big of a deal. I think that most people really don’t recognize how huge the gay community is, and as the country becomes more accepting, the community will grow. It’s not a battle we’re likely to lose.”

Albert, “Are you in a steady relationship? Are you actively looking?”

Andy, “For now, I’m single and always looking. I don’t have the best luck with boys. I’m attracted to intelligence first, and sometimes that’s a hard thing to find.”

Albert, “What was the earliest thing you can recall that started you thinking you liked guys?”

Andy, “Well, when I was eleven or twelve, my favorite movie was the Princess Bride. Something about Cary Elwes tied down and shirtless in the Pit of Despair did something for me.”

Albert, “That’s so cute! What was your first homosexual experience?”

Andy, “It’s actually a funny story. A few friends and I in sixth grade had a campout where we watched the more revealing parts of “Starship Troopers” and “Titanic”, played ‘truth or dare’ and ‘strip poker.’ We were all totally in that perverted stage that all middle school boys get into. Three of us turned out gay and the fourth is still questionable in my mind. Kind of funny how stuff like that turns out.

As far as sex goes, I started dating a very cute Hawaiian college student when I was a freshman in high school. The fact that the situation was very illegal didn’t really cross my mind until afterwards, but I felt that it was okay since we were the same height. We had fun in any case.”

Albert, “Have you had any experience with girls?”

Andy, “Unfortunately. I dated girls all through high school and did some things I’m not necessarily proud of now, but we all go through that denial stage, don’t we?

Overall, girls are just better as friends. Guys are so much easier to figure out.”

Albert, “What type of sex would you not do on tape? I don’t mean between committed partners. I mean out of principle or just not enjoyable to you.”

Andy, “I’ve always had that kinky side, but for some reason S&M isn’t as fun on camera. I guess the only thing that I won’t ever do is scat, just because it’s not my thing. I love catering to people’s fetishes, but that’s where I draw the line.”

Albert, “You described the three way sex with you in the middle in your interview with Marc. Would you be open to a similar bi-scene?”

Andy, “If I trust the director then I’m willing to do most anything. I think a scene like that would be fun, however, vaginas really aren’t my cup of tea. They just gross me out.”

Albert, “Could you do and enjoy a MILF and or DILF scene?”

Andy, “DILF definitely. I’m as likely to do a MILF scene as I am to do something with sheep . . . and that’s not very likely. Not very likely at all.”

Albert, “You crack me up. When this is over, ask me about a Montana Sheep Stick.

Guys that stick around porn for a while, usually branch off into something behind the scenes. Still photography, personal assistant, directing, like that. What areas do you think you would best fit into?”

Andy, “I’ve done a little camera work and editing and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I’d like working with the models most though, whether that’s directing or finding and connecting with new models.”

I also would love to work with the music obviously, and writing for porn. I’m always coming up with a new scene and movie idea and hopefully you will see some of them coming out of Boycrush.com in the next few years.”

Albert. “How do you view your involvement in porn; as a fun and profitable hobby, as an art you intend to master, the focus of your sex life? How do you describe it?”

Andy, “It’s a lot of things to me. It’s a lot of hard work. Most of the time its enjoyable, but sometimes it’s hell. I do what I can to master it because its paying for my education right now. I don’t really see what I create as art because it isn’t made for that purpose. It does however, do wonders for your sex life. If you can find a guy who can master control of his body, with people watching and huge lights shining at him for several hours, you know its going to be good sex anywhere else.”

Albert, “I had never thought of that angle. Yes, I can see that. Very cool! What goals do you have that involve adult work?”

Andy, “I’m working right now to put my name out there, doing everything I can to make contacts and label myself as a desirable model. I’ll work in twink porn as long as I can, but if I get really big in the industry, I want it to be when I’ve grown out of my twink body.”

Albert, “Are you inclined to go into politics at all?”

Andy, “No, I’m at school for business right now. I’m not sure I would work out as a public official.”

Albert, “What do you hope to be doing in forty years?”

Andy, “I want to own my own business and be able to support myself, my husband, and any children. Either that or just be dead. Sometimes I don’t think it would be all that fun to live to be forty.”

Albert, “(laughing) Oh gees, way to treat the interviewer. Are you going to school now? What is your major?”

Andy, “I’m doing the online thing right now. I like it a lot more than regular campus life. I’m working on a degree in business entrepreneurship.”

Albert, “How the hell did you get interested in that?”

Andy, “I actually started out as a music education major. I think the bottom line there, besides the lack of job security is all the insane rules and parents that come with bein
g a high school teacher. I wouldn’t have been able to handle it. A degree in business is going to help with my goal of running my own.”

Albert, “You nailed it on the teaching side. That is exactly why I will not work in a government school. Are you working a regular job now? What do you do?”

Andy, “I was just laid off from my last job of being a travel agent. It was fun, but the economy is too bad to keep that business profitable. I’m working at Macy’s in customer service for now. It’s a lot of fun and isn’t quite as time consuming.”

Albert, ” My friend Octavier and my son Albert have worked Macy’s. It is not bad. I ask this next question for those that admire you. What advice would you give those that would like to do what you have done in so short a time? Saying ‘Look Beautiful’ is not what I am looking for. J

Andy, “As far as modeling goes, if you can make a good impression on people and make it so they remember only positive things about you, then that’s half the battle. I’ve seen models never asked to return because they were a pain in the ass to work with.

As far as getting into the industry, it’s all about who you know. Use myspace, blogs and forums, and even xtube as tools to network and meet people. If you’re assertive and do more than just apply online, things will move much faster.”

Albert, “I forgot to mention in my introduction that you have beautiful size 10 feet. DeWayne will love that little bit of information.Tongue Out 11 Would you give us the rest of your vital statistics?”

Andy, “Sure. I’m 5’8. 125lbs. Blue eyes, brown hair. A little more than 6 inches, cut. A size 29 waist that makes my employee discount worthless when shopping for pants. Macy’s isn’t very twink friendly.”

Albert, “I know you followed the recent Jesse Santana interview fiasco. What do you take from that?”

Andy, “It’s unfortunate and frustrating that it happened because Jesse Santana has a good reputation. His fan-base and others rose up and stood up for him. It goes to show how being amicable can pay off.”

Albert, “Andy, you speak and write very well. You do not sound like a 19 year old. I am certain you will do very well in life. I thank you so much for the chance to talk to you like this. I look forward to the follow up in a year or two when you have made your first million. J As I always end, how can fans or studios get in touch with you?”

Andy, “Thank you so much. I can be contacted directly at
